Resveratrol:
Resveratrol is a plant phytochemical (flavonoid) that has remarkable biological properties. Most importantly it activates autophagy. In addition, resveratrol has anti-inflammatory, antiviral (including SARS-CoV-2), antioxidant and anticoagulant properties and has beneficial effects on the microbiome. Resveratrol also binds to spike protein helping to promote autophagy. Interestingly, Quercetin, a plant flavonoid with many of the biological properties of resveratrol, acts synergistically with resveratrol and remarkably increases the bioavailability of resveratrol.
Resveratrol is a potent antioxidant that protects against oxidative stress. It also has neuroprotective properties that may support cognitive health. Its anti-inflammatory properties may protect brain cells as well.
